There is now a second format inside The MAFFEO DRINKS Podcast.
It's called the Bottom-Up Cut. Same brand. Same focus on the commercial reality of the drinks industry.
Different shape.
The full MAFFEO DRINKS episodes have always been long conversations with practitioners. Founders, distributors, ambassadors, bartenders. Each one covers the arc of a career and what someone has learned along the way. ]
Those keep going. They go deeper now. They take their time.
But not everyone has 40+ minutes. And not every story needs one.
I noticed this over the last three years of recording. Some of the sharpest things people say end up buried inside sixty minutes of conversation.
One decision. One mistake. One specific shift in how they think about their work. The kind of moment that could stand on its own, if it had a place to live.
That place did not exist. So I built it.

The Bottom-Up Cut is twenty minutes long. One guest. One angle. No warm-up, no career retrospective, no scenic route. The conversation starts where the value starts, and ends when it ends.
It is built for the people I keep meeting in the industry who tell me they want to listen but never have a full hour.
Commercial Directors between meetings. Brand managers commuting. Founders walking the dog. The people who would get more from 15 focused minutes than from a long-form episode, they save and never finish.

You will recognize a Bottom-Up Cut episode in the feed because the title ends with "Bottom-Up Cut."
That's where the numbering sits — at the end of the title — so you can spot them at a glance and decide what you have time for today.
There are two episodes out already. More coming. Some of the guests have been on the long-form before. Some are voices I have brought in specifically for this format.
If there is a topic you want to hear named directly, tell me.
This format was built for that.
Bottom up.
Every week we show you the patterns most of your competitors miss.
